Hi, I’m Charly 🐾 — a 5⭐ Star Sitter, professional dog walker and lifelong dog lover. I genuinely believe dogs are family, not just pets, and that’s exactly how I treat every dog in my care. I have over 20 years of experience caring for pets for friends, family and neighbours, as well as 6 years fostering rescue dogs and helping them feel safe, settled and ready for their forever homes. For the past year I’ve also been working professionally with dogs, caring for a variety of breeds, ages and personalities. I’ve learnt that every dog is different — some love adventure and play, while others are happiest having a quiet cuddle and plenty of downtime. My aim is simple: for your dog to have a lovely time, feel safe and comfortable, and come home happy. 🐶❤️

I am an Animal Management BSc (Hons) graduate with a 2:1 and have experience caring for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, small animals and horses. I have owned rescue dogs throughout my life, which has given me experience with nervous dogs and helped me understand the importance of giving each animal the time and space they need to feel comfortable. I also have a year of professional experience working in a dog daycare, caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments. Before completing my degree, I studied Level 3 Animal Management and completed a placement at a dog daycare. During my further studies I also gained experience at Northumberland Zoo, Whitehouse Farm and Houghall Animal Unit, as well as completing conservation fieldwork in The Gambia. Alongside this, I have experience with regular dog walking, drop-in visits and pet sitting. I particularly enjoy getting to know each animal individually and adapting their care to their personality and normal routine.

I've cared for and owned a range of animals over the years from cats and dogs to rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. I'm now retired so have plenty of time on my hands to look after your pet, I'm happy to walk them as required or to welcome them into my home for boarding, taking them for walks and give plenty of cuddles and affection. I personally don’t own any pets so it leaves me entirely free for looking after yours. If your pet stays with me it will have free run of the house and a secure garden, offering a home from home experience.
