Suitable insurance protects providers, owners and pets — but it is not needed to join PawLocal.

You can join without insurance

You can create your PawLocal account and start building your profile straight away. No insurance purchase is required to register.

When cover may be required

Depending on PawLocal's current verification policy, insurance verification may be required before you can accept bookings. Your dashboard shows exactly what applies to you.

Uploading your certificate

If you hold cover, upload your certificate from your verification dashboard. A PawLocal administrator reviews it before an Insurance Verified badge appears on your profile.

Keeping details current

Keep your documents valid and update them when your cover changes. Expired documentation is suspended until it is renewed.

For owners

Owners can see which verification steps a provider has completed on their profile. PawLocal does not provide insurance for providers and does not guarantee their cover.
